The City of Citrus Heights has identified Old Auburn Road as an important corridor for all types of transportation.  The project will improve safety on the road for people driving, riding bicycles, walking, and taking transit.

The Old Auburn Road Complete Streets (OARCS) - Phase 1 Project Design will prepare the construction documents for Old Auburn Road complete street improvements between Tiara Way and Garry Oak Drive.

The OARCS Project is an Active Transportation Program (ATP), federally funded, grant project. 

Improvements include:

  • Roadway Resurfacing 
  • Traffic Signal Upgrades
  • Street Lighting
  • Separated Bike Lanes (Class IV Facilities)
  • Protected Intersections
